Do you want to find out what we are planning for next year ? Do you have some spare time to help the Super 8 group ?

We are hosting a meeting for new members to join. We are an open group so please come and join us for a friendly chat at CB2 cafe (Norfolk Street in Cambridge) on Friday the 13th of July (upstairs) at 6pm.

CB2 cafe (Basement) Norfolk Street in Cambridge – Friday 21st of October 2011 –  8pm.

You like films, you should join the Cambridge Super 8 group.
We are organising film events, workshops,  film projects.

All over the world, the awkward squad are keeping traditional zero-budget film making alive with nothing more than neglected cameras and little cartridges of Super 8 film. Tiny frames of glowing colour or grimy mono- chrome; no soundtrack so you make one; suit yourself and make a film as distinctive as a hand-knitted jumper. Challenge yourself with Straight Eight, fill an art gallery wih motion and noise, help put on showings and festivals. 

We have equipment. We need friends and collaborators. Come and meet us.

If you want to get involved, by joining the volunteer team, you will gain invaluable hands-on experience in assisting with the smooth running of the Festival.

A few of the opportunities available include helping with administration, marketing, publicity distribution, festival events and hospitality.

 

Call for Volunteers

 in Festival 2010 / Meeting by

The 2010 festival is just round the corner and we need volunteers to help out.

Volunteers will gain valuable hands-on experience in the smooth running of a arts event.

We need stewards and publicity distributors in particular but all offers of time or skills will be welcome.

Two volunteer information meetings will be held on:

  • Wednesday 14th of April, @6pm.
    The meeting will be held upstairs at the CB2 cafe, Norfolk Street
  • Wednesday 21st of April @6pm.
    The meeting will be held at the MCR, Murray Edwards College, Huntington Road
